Job Overview
Thera East has an exciting opportunity available for a Support Worker to join our team based in Newmarket, Suffolk.
You will join us on a full time, 9-month fixed term contract.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Support adults with a learning disability.
- Help create innovative ways to support individuals in achieving their personal goals, aims and ambitions.
- Provide personal and emotional support.
- Help people plan and manage their own home.
- Support with leisure, employment, individual interests, and travel.
- Assist people in their own home or out and about in their community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- No previous experience or qualifications required as full training will be provided, however, unless specified otherwise.
- You must be comfortable with lone working & supporting individuals with mental health needs.
- Compassionate, caring and confident.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter, with a high level of motivation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident, articulate, and professional.
- Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems.
- Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun.
