Science Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to join the Science team. The role involves assisting with laboratory preparations and practical demonstrations to students in Years 7-13. Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm) for 40 weeks per term including training days and one additional week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory preparations.
• Provide practical demonstrations to students.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE at Grade C (or equivalent).
• Specialist knowledge, skills, understanding and experience relevant to the nature of this post.
• Excellent time management skills, adaptability and careful planning.
• Experience working in a laboratory in either a school environment or industry (preferred).
• Professional qualification relevant to the role (preferred).
• Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with students and adults.
• Willingness to contribute positively to the ethos and values of the school and to go above and beyond in this role.
