About the Role

Maintain a large site of mature gardens, wildflower meadows and a Bowling Green within the Richmond Village retirement community. This role includes thorough induction, ongoing training and development, and access to the Bupa online portal and LinkedIn Learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform general gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, including plant care, lawn maintenance, pruning and seasonal garden work.
• Operate gardening and grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as fence repairs, painting and general outdoor upkeep.
• Maintain attractive, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces with pride and professionalism.
• Work independently and as part of a team, focusing on delivering excellent service to residents.

Qualifications

• Previous gardening, grounds maintenance, horticultural or landscaping experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, pruning and seasonal gardening tasks.
• Safe use of gardening equipment and chemicals under COSHH regulations.
• Organised, adaptable and able to work both independently and within a team.
• NVQ in Horticulture or equivalent qualification is desirable.
• DBS check required; Bupa will cover the cost (40).
