Geoenvironmental Engineer – Milton Keynes – Salary: £30,000 – £40,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well‑established ground investigation and site services contractor based in Milton Keynes. Working on a diverse range of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in delivering contaminated land assessments and ground investigation works from site through to reporting.

The Role

  • Design, supervise and manage ground investigation projects
  • Carry out Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments and Phase 2 Site Investigations
  • Log soil and rock samples in accordance with BS 5930
  • Undertake soil, groundwater and ground gas sampling
  • Interpret laboratory data and prepare factual and interpretative reports
  • Complete contaminated land risk assessments and recommend appropriate remediation solutions
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies throughout project delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or a related subject
  • Previous experience in geoenvironmental engineering, contaminated land or ground investigation
  • Knowledge of UK contaminated land guidance and current legislation
  • Experience supervising site investigations and producing technical reports
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
