Intelligence Analyst – Royal Navy

As an Intelligence Analyst you play a vital role in gathering and analysing sensitive, classified information that shapes operational decision‑making for the Royal Navy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate advanced, specialist equipment on warships to collect mission‑critical data for the captain and senior officers.
  • Analyse raw intelligence and prepare briefings for senior leadership.
  • Adapt quickly to changing operational circumstances, communicating clearly and making decisions with limited information.
  • Maintain the highest levels of security and confidentiality with all information handled.

Skills Required

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient IT and analytical capabilities.
  • Attention to detail, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team, remain creative and take initiative.
  • Patience, judgment, and a non‑judgemental attitude.

Qualifications

  • Essential: GCSE – Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
  • Course: Intelligence Analyst (Level4) – Higher Apprenticeship, Protective Services route.

Working Arrangements

  • Working week: shifts to be confirmed.
  • Duration: 1 year6 months.
  • Number of positions: 20.

Training & Development

Successful completion of the apprenticeship leads to a pathway for promotion to commissioned officer ranks, with career progression based on merit.
