On behalf of Belfast City Council First Choice are currently recruiting 2 Sweeper Driver/Labourersto operate cleansing vehicles and carry out street and park cleaning duties across the city.
Job location- Based out of Duncrue Industrial Estate, Belfast.
Main duties of this role will include:
- Driving and maintaining council cleansing vehicles
- Working as part of a small team across Belfast
- Cleaning streets, parks, footpaths, and litter bins
- Assisting with general labouring duties as required
- Following set routes and all health and safety procedures
Shift Pattern: POST 1 – Day shift, Sunday to Wednesday, 07:30am – 3:30pm
Pay rate: £13.47 per hour Monday to Wednesday, £20.20 per hour on Saturday and £26.94 per hour on Sunday
Shift Pattern: POST 2 – Night shift, Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00pm 7:00am
Pay rate: £13.47 per hour Wednesday to Friday, £20.20 per hour on Saturday and £26.94 per hour on Sunday
This is a temporary position for 3 months, with the potential for an extension based on performance.
What We Need From You:
- Applicants must hold a full, current category C1 driving license
- Valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
- A minimum of one years experience in commercial driving
- Able to work well as part of a team and communicate confidently with the public
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors
