ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about technology and excited by the potential of digital innovation to transform education? At Lakes College, we’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Digital Learning Technologist to play a key role in developing and enhancing digital teaching, learning and assessment across the College.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on helping others embrace technology, enjoys exploring new digital solutions, and wants to make a real impact on the experience of both staff and learners. Working closely with our Head of Teaching & Learning you will help drive a forward-thinking Digital Learning Service that supports innovation, develops digital capability, and ensures technology is used effectively throughout the College.
As Digital Learning Technologist, you’ll be at the heart of our digital transformation journey. You’ll support teaching staff in making the most of key learning platforms such as Canvas, Turnitin, ClickView and BUD, while also leading digital induction programmes for new colleagues and delivering engaging training sessions and CPD opportunities. Whether facilitating workshops, creating video-based learning resources, or running informal drop-in support sessions, you’ll be instrumental in building confidence and digital skills across the organisation.
The role offers the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting developments in education technology. From exploring hybrid learning approaches and supporting the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, to overseeing the use of VR equipment and evaluating emerging technologies, you’ll help ensure Lakes College remains at the front‑line of digital learning innovation.
You’ll also contribute to the development of AI guidance and digital learning strategies, helping staff and learners navigate new technologies with confidence and purpose.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others to succeed. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for colleagues seeking advice on digital tools and technologies, helping to resolve challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote best practice in teaching and learning. Your creativity and enthusiasm will be essential as you develop engaging training resources, maintain digital knowledge bases, and identify innovative ways to enhance the learner experience.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have strong digital skills, a Level 3 IT qualification, and experience using emerging technologies such as AI, VR or similar digital tools.
