7.5 Tonne Home Delivery Driver – Nottingham

Pay Rate: £38,223 based on a 48‑hour week (Salary £39,985 basic when trained) plus overtime at time and a half.Contract Type: Permanent.Shift patterns: Start times at 06:00; any 5 from 7 week patterns, including some weekend working.Location: Nottingham, NG9 1PF.

What does the role entail?

• Make deliveries of white goods, furniture, electrical appliances; manual handling required.
• Work with a driver’s assistant to complete approximately 30–40 deliveries per day.
• Be willing to train to install wet goods (washing machines) and heavy goods (American fridge‑freezers) – training enhances salary.
• Provide excellent customer service and drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards, the Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations at all times.

What do we need from you?

• Valid 7.5‑tonne driving licence (C1), Driver CPC qualification, and Digital Tachograph Card with commercial ‘on the road’ experience driving 7.5t (C1) vehicles.
• Understanding of the physicality of manual handling duties.
• Ability to work as part of a team with a driver’s assistant.
• Pass a CRB criminal record check.
• Live near Nottingham (NG9 1PF).
