Job Description:

AWS Enterprise Support Strategy & Operations (ESSO) seeks a Smart, Experienced and Self‑Directed Sales Operations Analyst to support the Strategic Industries and EMEA Business Development and Technical Account Manager field teams. The analyst will provide visibility, insights and operational support that enable leaders to drive business performance, answer critical questions for decision‑making, and plan for the future.

Role Overview

The Sales Operations Analyst will play a foundational role in supporting stakeholder strategy and operations through data analysis and reporting. Key focus areas include standard reporting, data analysis, inspection and execution of operational processes, and the generation of regular cadence reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly). The position supports rhythm-of-business activities such as Monthly Business Reviews and quarterly/annual planning cycles, as well as ad‑hoc reporting requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of sales, delivery, and business metrics, reporting tools, and data structure and serve as a subject matter expert on the team.
  • Track and report all key performance indicators, goals, and trend analyses for weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Own regular analysis and inspection of key performance leading and lagging indicators, delivering insights to operations leaders and sales/delivery leaders.
  • Conduct analysis and deep dives to support Business Development and Delivery team strategy, planning and key decision making.
  • Support regular inspection of the sales pipeline, pipeline health and forecasting reviews.
  • Execute key field operational activities, such as territory management, headcount allocation and goal setting.
  • Leverage AWS GenAI capabilities to enable scalable insights and improve productivity across multiple user personas.
  • Own or contribute to analytical and building projects such as global pipeline management, forecasting model refinement and reporting system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders and partner groups across the ESSO team, sales, Enterprise Support leadership, and product.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in analytics and/or operations.
  • Experience working in a sales organization and with sales data, processes, and policies.
  • Experience in business analysis and functional roles requiring quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA, pivot tables, array functions, Power Pivot) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with sales tools including Salesforce and BI tools including QuickSight and PowerBI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL experience and ability to write complex queries from scratch across multiple tables.
  • Experience with data engineering or Big Data analytics methods.
  • Experience using AI business tools to build agents and apps.
