Salary: £80,000 – 82,000 per year

Requirements

  • Extensive experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Application Gateway, API Management (APIM), PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Service Bus, and diagnostics/monitoring services
  • Strong understanding of security, IAM, networking, database architecture, and distributed systems
  • Proven expertise in Azure DevOps, Helm Charts, Docker, Terraform, Bash, Packer, and Ansible
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic capability
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise based on business impact
  • Proven experience owning delivery outcomes end to end
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
  • Passion for raising engineering standards and sharing knowledge
  • Awareness of security best practices, compliance, and monitoring frameworks
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and application deployment pipelines
  • Deploy new and updated infrastructure in line with reference architectures
  • Deliver high-quality, reliable infrastructure aligned to project timelines
  • Use Infrastructure as Code to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability
  • Refine and enhance deployment processes to improve speed, quality, and reliability
  • Drive best practices in automation, monitoring, and operational excellence
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of engineering standards and tooling
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and delivery teams on project outcomes
  • Ensure alignment with wider Infrastructure Engineering standards and approaches
  • Take ownership of delivery outcomes, even in complex or ambiguous environments
  • Provide 4th line support for infrastructure-related issues
  • Participate in an on-call rota to maintain service reliability
  • Diagnose and resolve complex problems across distributed systems
  • Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation
  • Mentor and support the development of other engineers
  • Share best practices and contribute to a collaborative team culture

We work on project-focused delivery for high-volume, high-stakes SaaS platforms and are looking for someone who can help build scalable, secure Azure cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code practices.
