About the role

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) has a permanent, full-time vacancy for a qualified Social Worker.

MASH providesa safeguarding triage function and is committed to making safeguarding personal. This involves engaging with the referrer, the adult at risk, and or their advocate, to agree a way forward which follows the six key principles of s42 enquires under the Care Act.

MASH works closely with its partner agencies, in the spirit of the Care Act, to share information with the aim of providing the highest quality of response to adults at risk.

The team is co-located, with the police, at The Hex, Police Headquarters, and you will be expected to undertake advanced vetting for this position. The Adult Social Care forms one element of the MASH, which is a small, fast paced triage and duty team, we operate under the Hybrid working model, between The Hex and working from home arrangements.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role will be required to work from a Police building and therefore this post will be subject to the outcome of a Police vetting check.
