Overview
Senior Data & Analytics Engineer – London (Hammersmith office). 4 days a week onsite with either Monday or Friday remote. Role within Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology, providing strategic direction for data‑centric systems across domestic, EMEA, APAC and LATAM markets. The position is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end data systems lifecycle, promoting data literacy, ensuring data quality, and driving data‑driven decision making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of data systems, from ideation and planning to development, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
- Promote data literacy and accessibility across the organization, enabling data‑driven decision‑making.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance, working with data engineers and stakeholders to establish and maintain robust data processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, product managers and other stakeholders to identify data needs, prioritize projects, and optimize data usage.
- Use data to inform media application decisions, identify opportunities for new applications and features, and develop data‑driven application systems that meet user needs.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for data‑driven systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
- Define and track key metrics and KPIs to measure the success of data systems and inform future development efforts.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns and insights that can be used to inform media application decisions and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with DBA’s and systems infrastructure teams to build and maintain the data infrastructure for optimal performance and resilience.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills – capable of inspiring engagement, providing context, and tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
- Results‑oriented mindset with experience translating strategy into specific priorities and action plans.
- Project management experience, delivering projects on time and within scope while maintaining high performance standards.
- Creative problem‑solving skills, encouraging experimentation and risk‑taking while managing those risks intelligently.
- Change leadership experience – articulating business cases for change, leading initiatives, and coaching others through transitions.
- Analytical mindset, adept at using data to drive decisions and assess business performance.
