Family Hub Community Practitioner – Early Help
Are you passionate about supporting children, young people and families to thrive? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate practitioner to join our team and deliver early help interventions that make a lasting impact.
In this rewarding role, you will work directly with families, providing practical support, delivering evidence‑based programmes, and connecting families to the right services at the right time. You will collaborate with schools, health professionals, housing, police and community partners to create positive change and improve outcomes for children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Assess needs, plan and deliver effective support and interventions individually and in group settings.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with families, children and young people.
- Produce high‑quality written assessments and records.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals and coordinate service provision.
- Engage, motivate and empower families to make sustainable changes.
- Work collaboratively with partner organisations to ensure families receive timely, appropriate support.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Level 3 qualification relevant to early years, education, health or social care.
- Significant experience working with children, young people and families in health, education, early years, youth work or social care settings.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child development and evidence‑based family support interventions.
- Strong assessment, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and engage families in positive change.
- Experience of partnership working across agencies and community organisations.
- A flexible, team‑focused approach with the ability to work independently when required.
- Understanding of safeguarding, early help principles and the Coventry Safeguarding Children Partnership Right Help Right Time Guidance is desirable.
- Understanding of the Family Hub and Start for Life Programme and the Supporting Families Outcomes Framework is desirable.
