Position Overview

Reprographics Operator Salary: £28,469 per annum + 7.5% shift allowance (£30,604.18 total), plus company benefits.

Address: London EC1A.

Contract: Permanent, full time.

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Mon‑Fri, 07:00–15:00 and 15:00–23:00 on a rota with a 30‑minute unpaid break.

Occasional night shifts (23:00–07:00) may be required.

Work model: Fully onsite.

Purpose of the Role

The Reprographics Operator is a hands‑on print production role responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of high‑volume, high‑quality print, finishing and document production services for employees, clients and stakeholders. The role requires confidence operating commercial print and finishing equipment, managing multiple production requests simultaneously, and delivering accurate work to demanding deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high‑quality reprographics service, ensuring all print, finishing and document production requests are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed SLAs.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience by building strong working relationships and responding promptly and professionally to client requests and enquiries.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive, business‑critical and confidential client documentation, ensuring compliance with client security policies and information governance requirements.
  • Operate and maintain proficiency across all reprographics equipment and software, ensuring work is produced to the highest quality standards.
  • Verify job instructions and specifications before production, seeking clarification where required to ensure work is completed accurately and to client expectations.
  • Take ownership of all assigned work from receipt through to completion and delivery, providing timely progress updates and proactively communicating any issues or potential delays.
  • Manage competing priorities and urgent requests effectively, ensuring business‑critical and time‑sensitive work is delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all completed work to ensure output meets required standards before release to the end user.
  • Support the delivery of document services by preparing, printing, finishing, binding and distributing documents in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including replenishing consumables, changing toner, clearing paper jams and reporting equipment faults promptly.
  • Carry out manual handling activities safely when moving paper stocks, consumables and finished products, in accordance with H&S requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure necessary materials and supplies are available to support uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Accurately complete administrative tasks, including work ticket reconciliation, meter readings and production records.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, Team Leaders and client stakeholders to ensure workloads are managed efficiently and client needs are met.
  • Contribute to a safe, organised and professional working environment by adhering to Health & Safety requirements and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, service delivery and customer satisfaction, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to changing business requirements and undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in print production, reprographics, document services or commercial print environments.
  • Familiarity with commercial print and finishing equipment.
