What you will bedoing:

In this role, you’llcarry out Test &Commissioning activities with some guidance while being accountablefor specific tasks. You’ll take ownership of activities on shiftand work towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on designated testsystems.

You’ll liaise with stakeholders toensure work is conducted safely and in compliance with companypolicies and legislation, while maintaining accurate records andcontributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You may alsorepresent the company on Contractor Sea Trials and other outworkingrequirements.

Coreduties:

  • Lead and deliver commissioningand maintenance activities with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring fullcompliance with company policies, procedures, andlegislation
  • Maintain and oversee accurate,auditable records of all work activities using companysystems
  • Engage and coordinate withstakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution oftasks
  • Review, challenge, produce and provideinformed feedback on technical documentation
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to lessexperienced team members
  • Represent theorganisation during sea trials and external activities asrequired
  • Drive adherence to quality, safety,and environmental standards while promoting continuous improvementand best practice

Essential Skills:

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a STEM subject orequivalent experience
  • Good understanding ofelectrical and instrumentation systems, including testing and faultfinding
  • Awareness of safety procedures andworking in high-risk environments
  • Ability toproduce, read and review technical documents anddrawings
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam
  • Competent in using MicrosoftOffice and other digital systems

The Test and CommissioningTeam:

Working within a skilledcommissioning team, you’ll support the delivery of complex engineering systemsacross nuclear submarine programmes. You’ll collaborate withengineers, technicians, and stakeholders while developing technicalexpertise and gainingexposure to a wide range of systems and technologies.

This role provides the opportunity to progress intoSubject Matter Expertpositions and take on increased responsibility within commissioningand wider engineering functions.
