Teaching Assistant
Seeking a full time and permanent Teaching Assistant to work with children at our primary school.
Ideally we are looking for someone that has a BA University Degree from either the UK or overseas in early years education or education. Alternatively someone who is passionate about working with children and would be interested in gaining more classroom based experience working with them.
Starting salary: £22’000- £23’000pa plus excellent further training and career progression opportunities will be provided. 12 weeks paid holiday, including 6 weeks summer holiday, half term holidays and Easter and Christmas paid holidays.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting the teacher in planning and implementing creative and learning activities for children in line with the primary school national curriculum
- Supporting the delivery of learning for each pupil to enable them to reach their potential, working with individual pupils or small groups or within a whole class setting to support the delivery of high standards of teaching and learning and pupil progress
- Responding to the specific learning needs of the pupil(s)
- Being proactive in managing pupil behaviour and supervising pupils at lunch and break times as required
- Carrying out observations of children and ensuring safety and well being at all time
