We're partnered with a leading commercial law firm based in Manchester city centre who are looking for a Banking Paralegal to join their Real Estate Finance team. You’ll work closely with fee earners to provide administrative and clerical support across a range of property finance matters and will liaise with central support to ensure the smooth running of transactions. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a keen interest in financial and property law.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide assistance with Companies House and Land Registry registrations and requisitions.
  • Support redemptions by preparing release documents, obtaining redemption statements, and drafting completion slips.
  • Assist with completions including conducting completion day checks, preparing priority searches, financial statements and transfer of funds.
  • Manage and update portfolio checklists, condition precedent schedules, and matter progress reports.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, solicitors, and internal teams via telephone and email.
  • Handle full file administration including opening, billing, recording undertakings, closing, and archiving.
  • Prepare legal and financial documents such as bank standard security documents, completion undertakings, and statements.
  • Maintain and monitor key dates and deadlines using the firm’s diary and task management system.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality obligations.

What we need from you:

  • Previous experience in a legal support or paralegal role, ideally within banking, property, or real estate finance law.
  • Strong document preparation skills, including proofreading and formatting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support multiple fee earners.
