Job Title: Quality Inspector / Level 2 NDT Technician (Night Shift) Location: Leicester Salary: £22.20 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance) Shift: Night Shift – Monday to Thursday, 18:00 – 06:00 Benefits: Permanent night shift, long weekends (4-day week), stable manufacturing environment, opportunity to work within a precision engineering business supplying highly regulated industries. Quality Inspector / Level 2 NDT Technician – Night Shift A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a Quality Inspector / Level 2 NDT Technician to join its quality team on a permanent night shift. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that manufactured components meet strict quality and compliance standards within a highly regulated production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspection activities, non-destructive testing, and supporting quality assurance processes to maintain the highest product standards across production. Key Responsibilities InspectionConduct First Article Inspection (FAI), receipt inspection, and in-process inspection using both CMM and manual measurement techniquesRun CMM programmes, analyse results, and make appropriate quality decisionsMaintain and manage CMM programme integrity and documentationSupport internal non-conformance processes, including raising rejects and ensuring appropriate containmentWork closely with the Engineering team during New Product Introduction (NPI)Complete FAIR packs using both CMM and manual inspection methodsCarry out inspection and calibration activities as required to support productionNon-Destructive Testing (NDT)Perform MPI, DPI and visual inspections in line with approved proceduresEnsure NDT equipment is maintained and suitable for operationConduct required control checks and testsInterpret and evaluate results against defined acceptance standardsPrepare and authorise product test reportsGenerate work instructions for Level 3 approvalManage inspection workflow to support production prioritiesMaintain Level 2 certification in the relevant NDT methodCandidate RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience in a quality inspection role within aerospace or automotive manufacturingLevel 2 NDT certification in Penetrant Inspection (DPI)Experience operating CMM equipment and manual inspection toolsStrong understanding of FAIR documentation and quality standardsExperience working with SOPs and controlled documentationAbility to work to production timelines in a manufacturing environmentApply If you are an experienced Quality Inspector with Level 2 NDT certification and are seeking a permanent night-shift opportunity in a precision engineering environment, we would welcome your application.
