Job Description:

Anglo Scottish Biosolids Ltd is expanding and seeking committed LGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support the safe and efficient movement of bio solids across Scotland. Using modern RORO (Roll On Roll Off) / Hook Loader vehicles, you’ll play a key role in keeping our wastewater and recycling network operating smoothly-supporting farms, land restoration projects, and treatment facilities.

_ It is essential that applicants have hookloader experience. _

This is a practical, hands on role ideal for drivers who take pride in safety, professionalism, and independent working.

Working Pattern

4 on/4 off rotating pattern P ermanent night shift after initial job training on day shift Weekend work included in rota Work involves outdoor environments, agricultural sites, and bio solid handling

Pay & Benefits

£16.72 per hour – Monday to Friday (Days) £19.01 per hour – Nights, Saturdays & Sundays £50 monthly phone allowance Paid monthly on the 10th on every month date might vary slightly depending on how date falls. Fully funded CPC training (including paid lost hours) Full PPE supplied Modern Volvo fleet under Gold Maintenance program On site parking available

Transport & Operational Responsibilities

Daily operation of Class 2 RORO / Hook Loader vehicles Collection and delivery of sewage sludge (bio solids) between wastewater plants, farms, and treatment sites Safe operation on farm tracks, rural roads, industrial yards , and restricted spaces Loading, securing and unloading RORO skips in line with legal and company standards Working to planned routes and schedules provided by the Transport Manager

Safety, Compliance & Regulations

Complete daily vehicle checks via smartphone inspection app Maintain legal tachograph data and ensure full compliance with Driver Hours Ensure waste documentation is correctly completed Follow all environmental, SEPA and waste handling regulations Report defects, hazards, incidents or near misses immediately

Documentation & Communication

Ensure paperwork and digital logs are accurate and submitted promptly Communicate clearly with planners, operations teams, site managers, and customers Report site access issues, load concerns, or route changes promptly

Equipment & Site Responsibilities

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional presentation Follow PPE requirements at all times Comply with site inductions, hygiene standards and site specific safety rules

Essential Requirements

Valid Class 2 HGV (Category C) license Valid Driver Card Maximum of 6 penalty points Minimum 6 months RORO / Hook Loader experience Ability to work rotating days/nights & weekends Strong commitment to safety and compliance

Desirable Experience

Background in wastewater, sludge, aggregates, or waste industry Understanding of sludge compliance requirements Experience with smartphone/tablet based transport systems Familiarity with farms, fields, and rural working conditions Stable long term employment history

In person , supporting multiple sites across Scotland.
