Tax Associate Director – Banking and Capital Markets

About the role

We are looking for an FS Tax Associate Director to join our Financial Services Tax team. The role is newly created and will be based in our London office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growing Banking and Capital Markets FS Tax practice.
• Drive our go‑to‑market offering across the Banking and Capital Markets sector.
• Manage business development opportunities and contribute to the wider FS Tax strategy.
• Manage teams across FS Tax advisory, compliance and audit of tax engagements.
• Oversee a portfolio of high‑quality work for clients, ensuring profitable outcomes through best practices and technology.
• Act as a role‑model to junior team members in delegation, review and fostering learning and development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading a portfolio of FS tax engagements in the Banking and Capital Markets space across tax advisory services.
• Keen interest to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of broader business tax, international tax, regulatory and tax accounting areas (e.g. OECD Pillar 2 – GloBE).
• Willingness to take on team management and development roles within the FS Tax team.
• Broad experience of managing financials on client engagements, setting timetables, delivering on budgets and negotiating fees with clients.
• Experience of identifying opportunities for business development across FS Tax and other service lines.
