Group Finance Manager (Infrastructure) – Manchester

Job Description

A leading infrastructure business is seeking to strengthen its Manchester-based finance team with the appointment of a Finance Manager – Group Reporting.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will lead a small team and take ownership of the Group’s financial reporting and consolidation processes, while playing a key role in budgeting, analysis, and strategic financial planning across an international business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to take on a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leadership and strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Group financial reporting and analysis, including annual and interim reporting in accordance with IFRS.
• Management of monthly and annual group consolidations.
• Review and analysis of subsidiary reporting packs, partnering with international finance teams to challenge and improve reporting quality.
• Support the group budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Contribute to the development of investment strategies and financial insights.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team.
• Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial controls.

Essential Skills:

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
• Experience owning or managing group reporting processes within an industry environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with IFRS and/or FRS 102 experience
• Experience working in organisations with significant revenues and/or international operations
• Confident communicator with the ability to challenge financial information and partner with stakeholders
