A growing and ambitious electrical contractor specialising in Renewables installations, repair, and maintenance across domestic and commercial sites. They’re seeking a Senior Electrician / Electrical Supervisor to join their expanding team. Operating across domestic and commercial projects, the successful Electrician will be working on a variety of installations, and testing, particularly within the renewable energy sector, including ongoing solar, heat pumps, and EV projects across the Essex and surrounding counties.
Senior Electrician Responsibilities– Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment– Carry out Solar PV installations on domestic and commercial properties– Oversee installation of Solar PV, EV Chargers, and Heat Pumps– Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently– Testing and commissioning of newly installed renewables systems– Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or required remedial works– Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards– Working from home or the office one to two days a week, maintaining accurate job records and documentation, reviewing testing documentation etc.
Senior Electrician Requirements– 18th Edition (BS 7671)– NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)– Full UK Driving Licence– Based within a commutable distance of Chelmsford– Good communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues– 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)– Experience working in a supervisory position (Advantageous)– 2919 EV Charging Installation qualification (Advantageous)
Senior Electrician Remuneration– Salary 45,000 – 50,000– 40 hour working week– Company vehicle – including private usage– 20 days holiday + BH– Opportunities for overtime– Company pension– Ongoing training and development– Clear progression opportunities within a growing business
