Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our Pastoral Team at Nottingham College Basford College as a Personal Development Tutor. You will work closely with the Pastoral Team across a range of levels in Construction, Sport, Public Services, Animal Science, SLDD and Foundation Learning, supporting students to become ‘Future Ready’ and helping to facilitate group and individual development sessions.
Responsibilities
• Deliver group tutorials and individual sessions to develop students’ personal characteristics, social skills and employability skills.• Support students to achieve success, develop their potential and progress to their next level.• Liaise with parents/guardians and manage attendance for tutor groups.• Signpost students to appropriate support mechanisms efficiently.• Participate in training, induction and ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of education and care.
Qualifications
• GCSE A* – C in English and Maths or equivalent.• Evidence of managing student groups and strong ICT and administrative skills.• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one, as the role requires group delivery of tutorials.

- Competitive salary – £29,390 to £33,602 per annum FTE (pro‑rated for term time or part time posts). Pro‑rated salary range £26,998.66 to £30,867.95 per annum.
