About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor, based out of a commercial office in Soho. This is a key role overseeing the commercial delivery of two initial projects, both involving complex cut and carve construction works.
- Project 1: 30m
- Project 2: 40m
These schemes require strong commercial leadership, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of refurbishment and structural alteration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of two concurrent projects
- Oversee cost planning, procurement strategy, and subcontractor management
- Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Clients
- Ensure commercial compliance with contract conditions and company procedures
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
About You
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within a main contractor environment
- Strong background in cut and carve / refurbishment projects
- Experience managing projects in the 20m-50m range
- Excellent knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT)
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
