About the Role

• Location: Gateshead
• Salaried: £26,444.90 per annum starting wage based on a 38‑hour week; progression to £27,130.48
• Shift pattern: Alternating 2‑shift system – days (6:30 am–2:30 pm) and nights (2:30 pm–10:30 pm); workers are on the floor 10 min prior to shift start (paid)
• Overtime rates: Time & ¼ during the week; Time & ½ on Saturday; Double time on Sunday

Our client operates a target‑driven environment in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production setting. You will work closely with a small team to unload various machines. The company is highly ambitious and has a strong order book, providing job security and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Drive Counter Balance forklift and transport products to and from the line
• Assist teammates in achieving production targets by ensuring seamless delivery of goods to the line
• Perform quality inspection of finished goods before allocating to stock

Qualifications

• Previous FLT experience required; current Counter Balance license or in‑house/lapsed license acceptable (licenses can be refreshed in house)
• Ability to operate FLT in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficient in visual quality inspections
• Follow SOPs and work instructions
• Punctual, reliable, and capable of working night shifts
