Project Management Director – Commercial Fit Out

A leading global real estate advisory and construction consultancy is seeking a Project Management–biased Director to lead the delivery of high-value commercial fit out schemes (£30m–£40m).
This business is an international, privately owned commercial real estate consultancy operating across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. It provides integrated services across project management, cost consultancy, building surveying, workplace advisory, leasing, capital markets and asset management. With a strong collaborative culture and entrepreneurial ethos, the firm combines global capability with local market expertise to deliver complex real estate and construction programmes for occupiers, developers and investors.
Due to continued growth within its Project & Cost Management division, the business is looking to appoint a Director with a strong project management bias and a proven track record delivering large-scale commercial fit out projects.
The Role
As Director, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of commercial CAT A and CAT B fit out projects in the £30m–£40m range
- Act as Client Lead, building and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships
- Provide strategic programme oversight, governance and risk management
- Manage multi-disciplinary consultant teams and contractor performance
- Drive procurement strategy and oversee contract administration (JCT experience essential)
- Contribute to business development, winning and converting new opportunities
- Support and mentor junior PMs and Associate Directors within the team
- Play a key role in shaping and growing the London fit out offer
The Candidate
You will be:
- An established Project Director or Senior Associate ready to step up
- MRICS, MAPM or equivalent (preferred)
- Experienced in delivering high-quality commercial office fit outs at £30m+
- Strong in pre-construction strategy, programming and stakeholder management
- Commercially astute with strong contractual knowledge
- Confident operating at Board and C-suite level
- Entrepreneurial, collaborative and growth-oriented
