We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Practitioner (Days) to join our dedicated team and help lead the delivery of exceptional care for our residents.

As a Senior Care Practitioner, you will be a key member of the care team, combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities. You will help ensure residents receive high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing while supporting colleagues to maintain the highest standards throughout the home.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at our home, your role may involve:

  • Undertaking any necessary training
  • Supporting our residents with personal care and hygiene, eating, and getting involved with daily activities.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Supporting our residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focussed on their individual hobbies, preferences and abilities.
  • Maintaining high standards within the care home environment
  • Senior-level duties to support the Home Manager, which may involve staff supervisions, appraisals, record-keeping, liaising with outside professionals, interviewing etc.

Job responsibilities

The Senior Care Practitioner (Days) is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality care and providing day-to-day leadership within the home. The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure residents receive care that is responsive to their needs, preferences and choices.
