Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will play a key role in identifying and generating new business opportunities for the organisation. This is a proactive sales role focused on building pipeline, engaging potential clients, qualifying opportunities, and booking meetings for the senior sales team.
You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support campaigns, target new accounts, and ensure high-quality opportunities are passed through the sales funnel.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in MSP sales, sales development, or lead generation who wants to develop their career further within a high-growth technology services company.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new sales pipeline through proactive outbound activity, including phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers within target organisations
- Qualify potential opportunities and assess client requirements before progressing leads
- Book qualified meetings and product demonstrations for the senior sales/closing team
- Support and execute sales and marketing campaigns aimed at generating new business opportunities
- Manage and nurture inbound leads, ensuring they are progressed effectively through the sales funnel
- Maintain accurate records of activity, prospects, and opportunities within the CRM system
- Provide insights into market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a consistent and professional client experience
- 3+ years’ experience in business development, sales development, or lead generation within an MSP
- Experience with outbound prospecting and proactive lead generation
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and sales activity independently
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate pipeline records
- Commercial awareness and understanding of MSP services, recurring revenue models, and IT buying cycles
