Procurement Specialist | Milton Keynes / Northampton | 35,000 + Bonus | Hybrid (Sourcing Specialist / Procurement Officer / Junior Buyer / Buying Assistant)

I am working with a leading UK infrastructure organisation who are expanding their Commercial & Procurement function and are looking to bring on a Procurement Specialist to support end-to-end sourcing activity across a broad corporate services portfolio.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in procurement who is looking to develop their career in a structured, high‑performing environment. Public sector experience is not required – what matters is that you bring a genuine understanding of procurement fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

You will work alongside experienced practitioners, gaining hands‑on exposure to sourcing strategy, tender processes, and supplier management, with a clear pathway to progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting end-to-end procurement activity across a range of categories
  • Assisting in the development of sourcing strategies and tender documentation
  • Coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to competitive tender processes and contract management
  • Helping drive commercial savings and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • A solid foundational understanding of procurement processes
  • Some exposure to sourcing or buying activity (in any sector)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Organised, detail‑orientated, and commercially minded
  • CIPS qualified or working towards it (desirable, not essential)
