Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work Intervention Team in Barnet, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and enhancing the lives of children and families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing and implementing intervention plans, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for those in our care. Your expertise will be critical in providing support and guidance to families facing challenges and in promoting positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing intervention plans in partnership with families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate support services.
- Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as necessary.
- Providing advice and support to foster carers and adoptive families.
Qualifications
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children’s social work and knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
