Overview A permanent, owner-side Engineering Manager role at the heart of the energy transition. You will lead engineering execution across the full project lifecycle for a portfolio spanning decarbonisation, carbon capture, hydrogen, and renewables, working within an international energy organisation and multicultural teams.

Key Responsibilities – Define the engineering execution plan and drive it through every project phase – Lead the engineering project team, including roles, staffing, and workload allocation – Oversee engineering execution to maximise value for the business – Coordinate design and HSEQ reviews – Define and monitor project schedules and cost budgets – Manage engineering risks, including identification, assessment, response, and stakeholder communication – Manage project changes, interfaces, and their impact on execution – Manage multidisciplinary outsourced engineering services – Consolidate cost estimates and monthly workload forecasts for management – Act as the main engineering interface with stakeholders on progress, risks, and key decisions
Requirements – Proven capability in managing engineering execution, including planning, scheduling, progress, and cost control – Strong grounding in risk management, change management, and project management processes – Familiarity with all project phases: feasibility, front-end engineering design, and execution – Understanding of the owner-engineering role within an international energy organisation – Experience working with multicultural teams across different locations – Confidence to lead autonomously, including decision making, setting priorities, and problem solving – BEng in Engineering minimum; Chartered status (CEng) desirable…
