Overview
Static Electrical Engineer position based in Manchester for a leading UK Facilities Management provider. This is a static site role offering a chance to take ownership of electrical maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality service to clients and contractors. Salary £40,000 – £42,000 plus benefits.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems.
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment in accordance with current regulations.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise disruption.
- Manage your own workload and work independently on site.
- Liaise effectively with clients and contractors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures.
- Report progress and escalate issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary documentation.
- Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Qualifications
- Essential:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
- AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2) qualification
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within Facilities Management or Building Services environments
- Strong electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and maintenance skills
- Ability to work confidently and independently on site
- Excellent communication skills with experience liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements, safe working practices, and compliance standards
- Reliable, proactive, and highly organised approach to work
- Desirable:
- Experience within commercial building services or static FM environments
- Knowledge of compliance procedures and statutory maintenance requirements
- Additional multi-skilled experience
