About Us

Advance is an award‑winning, women‑only organisation established in 1998 that provides emotional and practical support to women and girls survivors of domestic abuse and supports women with short‑term sentences to reduce offending. We empower women and girls to lead safe, non‑violent, equal lives and help them flourish and contribute to the community.

We are a community‑based organisation that leads best‑practice approaches to supporting women locally, through our women’s centres and partnerships with other agencies. Our values are listening and support, empowerment and respect, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

About the Role

The Neurodiversity Lead works alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield, identifying and supporting women who are neurodivergent or present neurodiversity symptoms and who will be returning to the community. The role focuses on support for women with neurodivergent needs and improving their transition into the community, providing ongoing community support and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop their support plans.

The Lead works multidisciplinary, attending weekly complex case meetings and Safety Intervention Meetings as appropriate. They serve as a specialist member of the wider Advance Criminal Justice Service – London team, facilitating pathways for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity concerns. They accept referrals from the Advance Criminal Justice Community team and prison services, and create a link between prison and the community, helping women navigate support services and reintegrate positively into their community after release. The Lead co‑designs person‑centred support and action plans with women, enabling them to address their needs and risks. The role combines casework with a signposting and advice service.

The Neurodiversity Lead is based at the Advance Head Office in Hammersmith, with regular community work and visits to HMP Bronzefield.

A car may be desirable for this role, but it is not essential.
