Overview

You will support the management of traffic engineering projects to reduce serious and fatal injuries and promote sustainable travel. The role involves collaboration with internal and external teams to deliver design solutions and construction phases aligned with council objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with project control, programme, risk, and budget management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and bid for funding opportunities.
  • Ensure all projects comply with council policies and processes, including the CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Produce and manage project programmes and deliverables under tight deadlines.
  • Apply sustainable travel principles and environmental impact considerations in project work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in highway and traffic engineering design and support of project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce and manage programmes and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience applying CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to health, safety, welfare, and equal opportunities.
  • Understanding of sustainable travel principles and environmental impacts of engineering projects.
