Retail Store Assistant

£12.71 per hour plus benefits.

We are looking for a motivated store assistant to join Cancer Research UK’s trading team. You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, providing excellent customer and supporter service in a friendly and helpful retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and support to shoppers.
• Work as part of the shop team to meet sales and fundraising targets.
• Maintain shop standards, including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance, and health and safety.
• Create relationships with the local community and with Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Support fundraising events to help the store meet fundraising goals.
• Take keyholder responsibilities as required (training provided).
• Perform manual handling and physical activity as needed.

Essential Qualifications

• Understanding of what makes great customer service.
• Experience working in a busy customer‑service environment.
• Ability to manage workload and work independently when required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
