Role Overview
Our Investment business unit is a key component of our consulting services and firmly established as a UK market leader. We currently advise on over ~£200 billion of assets for a diverse client base, providing full investment consulting services to defined benefit pension trustees and sponsors across a wide range of business and industry sectors, local government pension schemes and other public sector clients.
What this role looks like
You’ll work closely with Investment Consultants to deliver clear, practical advice to trustee (private sector and local government) and corporate clients. You’ll support lead Consultants on workflow, project management and drafts of advice from start to finish.
Key responsibilities
- support Investment Consultants to provide advice to trustees and corporate clients on a wide range of issues
- draft standard and bespoke advice for review by consultants across an array of investment topics
- deliver reports and advice to clients at meetings, where required
- act as a key point of contact for clients and other stakeholders
- co‑ordinate business‑as‑usual workflow and smaller projects across client teams
- draft annual budgets, monthly billing and scopes of work for clients
- coach and mentor analysts within client teams and the wider investment team
- contribute to business development and client prospecting activities
- build the profile of the Investment team and the firm through networking and thought leadership
- build strong links across the business to support cross‑selling
- adhere to core business and compliance requirements
- participate in relevant training sessions and internal groups

- relevant experience in investment consultancy, fund management or a related investment role
- degree in a numerate discipline such as maths or economics (or equivalent)
- strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office
- understanding of UK DB pension schemes, asset classes and legislative frameworks
- commercial awareness of the pensions and employee benefits market
