Overview
You will be an integral part of the University’s data protection and information governance team, supporting its manager on data protection, freedom of information, legal compliance, information governance and records management. You will assist in the development and implementation of the University’s policies, procedures and guidance for this area. We want you to work in a way that best supports the University of Northampton (UON) and our students, with flexible working options available.
Responsibilities
- Support the data protection and information governance team and assist in policy development and implementation for data protection, freedom of information, information governance and records management.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and University policies.
- Work to deadlines with minimal supervision and contribute to a small team.
Qualifications
- Essential: Undergraduate degree and experience of responding to freedom of information and data subject access requests.
- Desirable: Qualification or equivalent experience in a related discipline; willingness to develop expertise in data protection and information governance; ability to communicate effectively across the organisation and with the public.
