About the role
The Senior Corporate Finance Manager will support the Head of Corporate Finance in their responsibilities for the delivering the Groups financial planning, modelling and analysis activities to support the CFO and the overall business objectives.
The role will also support the Finance Director of Argenta Private Capital Limited (‘APCL’) in all aspects of their role including performance analysis, forecasting, capital planning and financial stewardship.
The position requires deep expertise in financial modelling, strong analytical capability, excellent IT proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, HR and Executive Committees.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance Senior Leadership on the development, enhancement and maintenance of financial models supporting rolling financial forecasts, board reporting and capital management processes.
- Represent the Finance department in senior management forums, including the APCL Senior Management Group which assists with development and delivery of the strategic goals of the business.
- Preparation and maintenance of rolling financial forecasts, executive reporting packs and KPI dashboards for delivery to the APCL Executive Committee and Board.
- Assist with the production of executive reports and analysis packs for delivery to both Group and subsidiary boards.
- Production of staff cost budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with senior managers, for delivery to the senior leadership group.
- Production and modelling of Parent Company headcount reporting schedules for delivery to the senior leadership group and Group Remuneration Committee.
- Support the Head of Corporate Finance in analysis for budgeting, staff cost planning and remuneration cycles, including scenario models for salary and bonus review processes.
- Produce various modelling and scenario analysis for senior leadership, and collaboration with senior leadership on various ongoing strategic projects within the group.
- Maintain and report Management Fee income to the APCL Executive Committee, including review and development of fee charging structure.
- Liaise with the Business Development team regarding new business and analysis of performance against targets and KPI’s.
- Provide support to the Head of Corporate Finance regarding the capital modelling and financial management of the Groups underwriting vehicles.
- Review of APCL management accounts, variance analysis and associated commentary for delivery to the APCL Executive Committee.
- Contribute to the optimisation of data flows across Finance systems and support the enhancement of technology‑enabled workflows.
- Undertake any other related duties as may be reasonably required.

Skills and experience
- Qualified accountant, educated to degree standard and with at least 5 years post qualification finance experience.
- Expert level financial modelling capability, with the ability to build and maintain complex models to support strategic decision‑making
- Advanced spreadsheet skills including mastery of MS Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the finance team and across departments.
- Sound understanding of group, FCA, Lloyd’s and other regulators’ compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of London Market insurance and agency accounting processes is desirable but not essential.
