Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.
• Support, implement and monitor all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support customer requirements including RCCA, business development initiatives and workshops.
• Act as a point of contact on all quality matters both internally and externally including suppliers.
• Support internal and external audit scheduling to maintain all accreditations across the business.
• Support company Red Table NCR/RCCA activities.
• Ability to review and decipher First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s).
• To act as a change agent ensuring the implementation of more robust quality controls and operating systems.
• Support and lead development of Waste Reduction & Variation Reduction practices and initiatives within the business.

Skills and experience required:

• Good understanding of the aerospace market.
• Wide knowledge of product and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.
• Use of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Champion / Lead continuous Improvement.
• Knowledge of AS, ISO and NADCAP standards.
• Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings.
• HNC in relevant discipline or Professional Quality Engineering qualification.
• AS9100 ISO9001 lead audit trained preferred.
• Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment.
