Job Description:

UK‑Wide Projects – flexible location

Ready to lead some of the most technically challenging and nationally significant remediation projects in the UK?

VertaseFLI is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join one of the country’s most respected remediation contractors.

As a business, we deliver everything from complex remediation design to major earthworks, civil engineering and landfill construction. Our projects range from £50k to multi‑million‑pound programmes, and our teams operate across the UK. If you want variety, technical challenge and the chance to shape the future of contaminated land remediation, this is it.

Why VertaseFLI?

You’ll be joining a company known for its technical depth, innovation and ability to deliver. We don’t just follow industry standards — we help set them. You’ll work alongside highly skilled engineers, scientists and operational teams, with the autonomy to lead your projects end‑to‑end.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of your projects — from early design and pricing through to delivery, verification and client handover. You’ll act as Project Lead, driving performance, safety, compliance and commercial success.

You’ll be trusted to:

  • Lead the technical, operational and commercial delivery of remediation projects
  • Develop project strategies, manage risk and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee CDM, health & safety and environmental performance
  • Manage and motivate site teams, engineers and subcontractors
  • Build strong relationships with clients, regulators and stakeholders
  • Support tendering, design development and pricing of new opportunities
  • Explore emerging remediation technologies to keep VertaseFLI ahead of the curve
  • Contribute to business development and the growth of the wider team

This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys problem‑solving and wants to make a visible impact.

What You’ll Bring

  • A relevant degree and experience in remediation, environmental engineering, civil engineering or a related field
  • Membership of a professional or chartered body (e.g. APM)
  • Relevant CSCS qualification
  • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK

What’s in It for You

  • The chance to lead high‑profile, technically diverse projects
  • A respected role within a senior delivery team
  • Opportunities to innovate, influence and progress
  • A supportive environment where your expertise genuinely shapes outcomes
