If you’re already running engineering projects but feel like you’re constantly chasing updates, firefighting delivery issues, or carrying the responsibility without the support, this could be a better setup.
This role offers something a lot of Project Managers are missing. A structured environment, clear ownership, and a business where projects are properly supported rather than patched together.
You’ll be joining a growing engineering company delivering complex mechanical systems into industrial environments across the UK. The work is technically detailed, customer-facing and properly project-led.
Why this role is worth considering
– This is not a chaotic delivery environment.
– Projects are clearly defined and handed over properly
– Engineering and project teams work closely together
– There is a steady pipeline of technically interesting work
– You have the autonomy to run your projects without constant firefighting
The office itself is modern, open and well set up, with a genuinely friendly and supportive team. It’s a stable environment where people stay.
There is also exposure to a wider international group, which adds another dimension to
the role.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take full ownership of projects from contract handover through to final delivery.
That includes:
– Managing projects end to end across engineering, procurement and delivery
– Acting as the main point of contact for customers and suppliers
– Building and managing project plans, timelines and resources
– Running project reviews and reporting progress internally
– Managing risk, changes and delivery challenges
– Working closely with design and engineering teams to keep projects moving
What they’re looking for
This role suits someone already operating as a Project Manager in an engineering environment.
– Mechanical or industrial engineering background
– Experience delivering projects from start to finish
– Comfortable managing customers, suppliers and internal teams
– Able to plan, organise and drive delivery
– Confident taking ownership and making decisions
This isn’t aimed at someone looking to step up. You’ll need to be comfortable already owning projects.
What’s on offer
– Salary up to £55,000
– 5% matched pension
– Employee Assistance Programme
– Modern working environment with a strong team culture
– Structured 37.5-hour week (Monday to Friday)
– Flexibility on start/finish times, with the ability to bank hours and finish earlier on a Friday
Alongside that, you get something harder to find. A role where project management is taken seriously and delivery is properly supported.
