Multi Disciplined Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and carrying out small works across a range of electronic security systems. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who is confident working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault-find, on a variety of security systems including:
• CCTV systems
• Access Control systems
• Intruder Alarm systems
• Carry out small works, system upgrades and minor installations as required
• Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently to minimise system downtime
• Work with IP-based systems and demonstrate strong competency in networking (IP addressing, switches, connectivity issues, etc.)
• Complete all relevant documentation and reports accurately
• Liaise with clients on-site, providing a professional and knowledgeable service
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Security Engineer within the fire and security industry
• Multi-disciplined knowledge across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of IP networks and networked security systems
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Certifications & Licences

• Valid ECS/CSCS Card
• IPAF Licence (desirable)
• Full UK Driving Licence

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
• Flexibility to work away from home on occasion, including overnight stays where required
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience with leading security platforms (e.g. Genetec, Milestone, TDSI, etc.)
• Manufacturer certifications
