Site Manager – Gas in KT12, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

Our client is a leading utility company that has recently been awarded a long‑term gas framework contract. Works will include mains and service replacements, network reinforcement and diversion projects involving both insertion and open cut.

To facilitate this growth and strong project pipeline, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe and efficient delivery across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Contracts Manager and manage day‑to‑day site operations for turnkey works, ensuring delivery is safe, on time and to required quality standards.
• Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to maintain efficient progress.
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety and environmental regulations, company policies and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Manage permits, site documentation, progress reporting and compliance requirements.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure smooth project coordination.
• Monitor programme delivery and address on‑site challenges to minimise disruption and delays.
• Maintain quality standards across installation, reinstatement and associated civil works.
• Support continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on gas network infrastructure projects.
• Qualification with NRSWA Supervisor and CP (Competent Person) status.
• Organised and able to manage multiple workstreams and operational teams effectively.
