Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer within the facilities sector? Seeking a new challenge in 2026, our client – an established FM company – is looking for a qualified and experienced engineer to join a team on a static site based in Oxford. This is a great role for someone looking to join a company offering lots of progression and training.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
  • Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
  • Oversee visiting sub‑contractors with regards to the standard of work and health and safety.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Daily PPM and reactive maintenance tasks including UPS systems and associated control systems, plumbing and drainage systems, boiler room checks, cooling towers, fan coil units/AHU’s/fans, heating pumps.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds / NVQ mechanically qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a commercial environment with good building services knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Be able to pass a DBS check.
