HV Commissioning Engineer – Substations, Solar & BESS

Location: UK wide (base flexible; frequent site travel) | Type: Permanent

What you’ll do

• Plan and execute pre commissioning, SAT and energisation on 33kV to 132kV assets.
• Perform relay testing/verification, CT/VT checks, scheme proving and settings validation.
• Coordinate DNO/ICP/owner witness testing; capture results and defect trackers.
• Troubleshoot issues swiftly, implement fixes, and deliver complete close-out packs.
• Feed lessons learned back into design and construction teams.

You’ll bring

• Proven HV commissioning record on substations or grid connected renewables.
• Solid grasp of protection/controls and grid compliance testing (incl. G99).
• Meticulous, safety led approach with crisp documentation and communication.
