Aerospace Project Manager

We are seeking a talented Aerospace Project Manager to join a leading engineering organisation working on advanced materials and high-technology systems. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex, innovative projects in aerospace, defence, and other high-tech industries, where precision, quality, and technical expertise are critical.

As an Aerospace Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and delivering projects from initiation to completion. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all technical and stakeholder requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Aerospace Project Manager:

  • Lead and manage integrated project teams to achieve project scope, milestones, and deliverables as an Aerospace Project Manager.
  • Capture and track requirements and acceptance criteria throughout the project lifecycle for the Aerospace Project Manager role.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project schedules and objectives are met under the Aerospace Project Manager remit.
  • Collaborate across functions to align project goals with business and technical priorities as an Aerospace Project Manager.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders using clear, data-driven reporting in your role as an Aerospace Project Manager.
  • Drive best practice project management processes and motivate teams to deliver results as an Aerospace Project Manager.

Skills and Experience needed for the Aerospace Project Manager:

  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects, ideally in aerospace, defence, or advanced materials.
  • Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) programmes and engineering standards.
  • Experience in matrix organisations and managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • Strong project management methodologies and scheduling tool experience (e.g., Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant project management training or professional qualifications desirable.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance if required.

Working Arrangement:

  • On-site full time (Stevenage office)
  • 1 day working from home per week (depending on project need)
  • This arrangement is fixed and non-negotiable (no additional flexibility)

Salary & Benefits:

  • £55,000 – £70,000 per annum
