My client, a major UK energy organisation, is seeking a Head of Corporate Communications to lead high-impact external communications that shape the corporate narrative and position the business as a thought leader in the energy transition.
This senior role sits at the centre of the organisation’s strategic communications, managing major announcements, strengthening media relationships, and advising senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead proactive corporate communications that articulate strategy, purpose and priorities.
- Manage the financial and corporate calendar, including results, AGM, M&A activity, Capital Markets Day and Annual Report content.
- Oversee the CEO’s media engagement, thought leadership, events and digital visibility.
- Develop campaigns supporting sustainability, decarbonisation and inclusion goals.
- Build strong relationships with business, financial and energy journalists.
- Align messaging with Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Investor Relations.
- Support the Corporate Affairs strategy and partner with the Press Office on reactive issues.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Extensive plc-level corporate and financial communications experience. Agency background managing large brands/accounts are welcome.
- Strong ability to influence senior leaders, including ExCo and Board-level stakeholders.
- Exceptional written, verbal and analytical skills.
- A collaborative, resilient approach and ability to work at pace on complex issues.
- Strong media relationships and understanding of the UK stakeholder landscape.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to connect communications to long-term business and regulatory priorities.
