A leading services organisation is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to take ownership of financial control and reporting across its operations for a 12 month maternity cover. The Role
Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and integrity of financial operations. You will play a key role in delivering timely financial and management information, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting senior leadership with insight and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts, including financial, non‑financial and KPI reporting in line with group timelines.
- Prepare and deliver liquidity reporting.
- Oversee financial accounting activities, ensuring accurate records, reconciliations and compliance with group procedures.
- Provide proactive financial support to local boards and management teams.
- Embed and maintain strong financial controls, including intercompany reconciliation processes.
- Prepare indirect and direct tax submissions in collaboration with external tax agents.
- Support year‑end processes, statutory accounts preparation and audit engagement.
- Work closely with FP&A on annual budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with wider finance teams and contribute to cross‑functional projects as required.
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Experience within an internal finance function, ideally in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Understanding of corporate tax and regulatory environments is beneficial.
- Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Confident with data analysis and interpreting financial information.
