Adult Services – Occupational Therapy and Specialist Assessment Team Work includes assessing for aids to independence, works of adaptation (major and minor), manual handling assessments and evaluating the effectiveness/ impact of all aforementioned. Helping the Council keep people at home for as long as possible and keeping costs of care packages down. To promote and maximise independence, social inclusion and safe care for all clients on caseload.
To carry out occupational therapy assessments, intervention and evaluation of service provision for adults. (To support and supervise the work of junior staff students and Occupational Therapy Assistants as delegated by the Team Manager so as to ensure consistent standards of good practice and activity within the team. • To complete administrative tasks relevant to the caseload, in particular ensuring that the computer-based data system is properly populated to evidence activity, assessments and services.
