University College London Hospitals (UCLH) is seeking a dynamic Digital Innovation Project Manager. This pivotal role sits at the heart of UCLH’s approach to harnessing cutting‑edge technology and data to revolutionise clinical care and the patient and staff experience. The successful candidate will:

  • Play a key role in delivering the Digital Innovation Hub’s strategy, directly impacting patient care and operational efficiency across UCLH.
  • Lead and facilitate projects and innovators involving Artificial Intelligence and other digital technologies, bringing transformative solutions to life.
  • Work alongside professionals from UCLH, University College London (UCL), and various external partners, fostering a digital innovation community with lasting impacts.
  • Assist with the management of a portfolio of high‑profile projects, ensuring alignment with UCLH’s objectives and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise in systems like Microsoft Teams, ClickUp, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Provide expert advice on digital innovation processes and their interdependencies.
  • Develop and report on KPIs for digital projects, focusing on efficiency and patient/staff experiences.
  • Identify and implement improvements for digital standardisation and adoption.
  • Collaborate with teams to support new digital innovation processes.

Project Management

  • Plan and manage complex digital innovation projects, focusing on process enhancements and system integrations.
  • Conduct detailed project planning, set milestones, and designate responsibilities.
  • Monitor project progress, adjust strategies, and address risks/issues promptly.
  • Analyse data to formulate actionable recommendations and innovative solutions.
  • Continuously refine and improve digital project delivery approaches.

Communication & Relationships

  • Build effective working relationships across all divisions.
  • Deliver training and presentations on digital projects, ensuring widespread engagement.
  • Provide regular updates and negotiate for resources to support digital initiatives.

Team & Financial Management

  • Supervise and support junior staff on projects.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day management of project resources.
  • Act as budget holder, monitoring spend and ensuring alignment with financial guidelines.
  • Manage procurement and act as authorised signatory for project payments.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on policy and procedure implementation for digital innovations.
  • Utilise IT applications to create reports and maintain project information.
  • Undertake R&D activities during project mobilisation and initiation phases.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.
  • Follow the Trust’s Dress Code policy.
  • Work flexibly across various digital innovation areas as needed.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new staff.
